FAQs
Questions, answered
Everything you need to know about our courses.
Booking and courses
Are the courses nationally recognised?
Yes. Each unit is nationally recognised and is delivered and assessed by a partner Registered Training Organisation (RTO), which issues your Statement of Attainment. Work Ready Skills is not an RTO. We’ll confirm the delivering RTO before you enrol.
How do I book?
We’re in our start-up stage and not taking enrolments yet. Send us an enquiry with the course and location you want to register your interest. When courses open, we’ll reply with dates, the price, the delivering RTO and how to enrol.
Which first aid course do I need?
Most workplaces ask for HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, which includes CPR. Early childhood and school staff usually need HLTAID012. If you only need your annual CPR refresher, choose HLTAID009. If in doubt, check with your employer or ask us.
Do I need a USI?
Yes. Everyone completing nationally recognised training in Australia needs a Unique Student Identifier. It’s free and takes a few minutes at usi.gov.au.
Is there pre-course work?
Some courses include short online learning to complete before the practical session. You’ll receive the details when you enrol.
On the day
What should I bring?
Photo ID, your USI, and clothing suited to the course — enclosed shoes and outdoor clothing for traffic control, and comfortable clothes for first aid since you’ll be kneeling for CPR.
I need support or adjustments. Can you help?
Yes. Let us know when you enquire — for example, reading and writing support or physical adjustments — and we’ll work with the delivering RTO to arrange what we can.
Certificates and licences
When do I get my certificate?
Your Statement of Attainment is issued by the delivering RTO once you’ve been assessed as competent and your enrolment details are complete.
Does the course give me my security licence or traffic controller card?
Training is one step. Security licences are applied for separately through the Queensland Government, and traffic controller requirements are set by the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We explain the next steps during your course.
Groups and employers
Can you train my team on-site?
Yes. We run group sessions at workplaces and local venues across Queensland. See group and employer training.
Want to register your interest or ask a question?
We’re not taking enrolments yet. Tell us the course, location and how many people, and we’ll let you know when dates are released.
