Get the Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Service of Gambling qualifications you need to work behind the bar, on the gaming floor or in a licensed venue.
Courses
Queensland licensed venues must make sure staff serving alcohol hold a current RSA. Anyone working with gaming machines also needs RSG. Many people complete both together.

Provide responsible service of alcohol (RSA)
Queensland liquor laws, preventing intoxication and underage drinking, refusing service and handling difficult situations. Required for staff serving or supplying alcohol in Queensland licensed venues.
SITHGAM022
Provide responsible gambling services (RSG)
Gambling harm, responsible gaming practices, venue obligations and how to respond to patrons showing signs of problem gambling. Required for staff working with gaming machines.
RSA + RSG
Combined RSA and RSG
Both units in one booking — the most practical option for pubs, clubs and hotels with gaming rooms.
What you get
- Face-to-face training focused on real venue situations
- Statement of Attainment issued by the delivering RTO
- Guidance on meeting any Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) requirements for your certificate
- Group sessions available on-site at your venue

- You’ll need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) — create one free at usi.gov.au
- Bring photo ID on the day
- Check the current Queensland rules on RSA and RSG at Business Queensland
- Talk to us beforehand if you need any adjustments or support
Who delivers this training? Work Ready Skills is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Nationally recognised units are delivered and assessed under a third-party arrangement with a partner RTO, which issues your Statement of Attainment.
